As the mother of five, Spires thrives off of systems and processes, and brings these organizational management skills to her clients. Spires has over 15 years experience working with small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Additionally Spires served on the Fayette County Public Schools Board of Education from 2017-2022, where she worked to pass the district's first district wide strategic plan. Spires served as Chair of the Board from 2018-201 and under her leadership, the Fayette Education Foundation was established.
Spires currently serves on the Explorium Board of Directors and as an Advisory Board member of KAPAAW (Kentucky Association of Professional African American Women). She has previously served on various local boards, including the Lexington Public Library, the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, the Kentucky School Board Association, and the Lexington Homeless Prevention and Intervention Board. She is a past member of the Junior League of Lexington and attends Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington where she has served as an elder and deacon. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.
